Expanded, higher speed and sub-specialty consultation with
teleradiology is now available from Madison Radiologists in
partnership with our new vendor, Amicas. (http://www.amicas.com).
The web based architecture of this new system allows any
radiologist to view cases from any location in a secure, HIPPA
compliant fashion. As a result, sub-specialty expertise is
available every day for optimized patient care and diagnosis.
For example, complex neuroradiology cases will have access
to our neuroradiologists and complex body or musculoskeletal
cases will have access to our body imaging experts. This results
in improved quality of service and patient care.
With this new, versatile system, Madison Radiologists is
now capable of implementing teleradiology solutions for health
care institutions in need. While we continue to provide on-site
service daily in most locations, off-site teleradiology only
service is available at more remote sites that may not be
able to procure on-site coverage.
This web based system also allows faster image transfer.
Our 24x7x365 radiologists can then view and report back results
to referring physicians even faster. In addition, the Amicas
system offers enhanced toolsets that our radiologists may
use to optimally interpret the images in the modern multi-slice
CT environment.
All our radiologists are experienced, board certified M.D.’s.
Our size means diversity of specialty with most radiologists
having sub-specialty fellowship training. These factors combine
to allow our patients and partners continued access to state
of the art service and technology.
